Literary soirée for the benefit of "Deaf children learn to hear"
On May 13, the actor and author Sky du Mont will read "Best of Sky du Mont"
Exciting literature and delicious food for a good cause. On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the 14th Literary Soirée will take place for the benefit of the "Deaf Children Learn to Hear" association. From 6.30 pm, the well-known German actor and Spiegel bestselling author Sky du Mont will perform selected scenes from his five most recent books at the Mercedes-Benz Kestenholz branch, St. Georgener Straße 1 in Freiburg. The reading will be accompanied by a menu from Fallerhof Bad Krozingen. An admission ticket including food and drinks costs 130 euros. All proceeds from the event will go to the Förderverein. Please register by April 28, 2023 to Prof. Dr. Roland Laszig(roland.laszig@uniklinik-freiburg.de).

The support association:
Every day, one or two deaf children are born in Germany. Successful treatment is usually possible. Electrodes are implanted microsurgically into the inner ear so that the children can hear and thus learn to speak. Adults who become deaf late in life can also be treated in this way and resume their normal lives. The association "Deaf children learn to hear" supports the optimal medical and therapeutic care of the children. It informs the public and raises money for research, technical development and equipment for the Implant Center - University of Freiburg.
