More than 410 new trainees, dual students and participants in voluntary services have now started at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg / All training places for healthcare professions filled

On Monday, October 2 , around 280 new employees were welcomed to the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. Over the next few days, the trainees, dual students and volunteers will get to know their workplace and the hospital before they start work. More than 130 other young people started their careers at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg at the beginning of September.

All training places for healthcare professions filled

Particularly pleasing: all training places at the Academy for Medical Professions at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg have been filled. In nursing care alone, more than 100 new employees are being trained at the Freiburg and Bad Krozingen sites. In the areas of surgery, anesthesia, radiology and laboratory, prospective specialists are learning a medical-technical profession. The Academy also trains physiotherapists. "We are proud to welcome these talented people and look forward to accompanying them on their way to becoming qualified healthcare professionals," says Franz-Josef Overhoff, Head of the Academy for Medical Professions at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.

From gastronomy and technology to IT - a diverse training spectrum

Other young professionals are starting an apprenticeship or dual study program in the clinical environment, including in the areas of technology, logistics, service, IT or administration. "The trainees can expect a lot of practical experience, in-depth specialist knowledge and a wide range of support at the hospital. In this way, we ensure that they are well prepared for a successful career in the healthcare sector," says Elke Provazi, Head of Training, Business Unit Human Resources at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. The hospital is also looking forward to welcoming more than 100 participants in the voluntary service. They will be working in areas such as patient care, material transport and the blood donation center.
