On Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 6 pm, the Freiburg Student Orchestra invites you to a benefit concert in the Church of St. Joseph inon Breisacher Straße in Freiburg. The 30-piece orchestra will perform Sergei Prokofiev's musical fairy tale "Peter and the Wolf" accompanied by a narrator. The well-known piece of music is not only exciting, but also educational: the instruments of the orchestra are gradually introduced in a playful way. All donations collected will go to the "Tigerherz ... wenn Eltern Krebs haben" (Tiger Heart ... when parents have cancer) program of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. Admission is free, registration is not required.

The Tigerherz offer

"Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer" is aimed at families in which one parent has cancer. The aim is to help the whole family by prioritizing the needs of the children in this difficult situation. The children and young people are worked with individually or in groups, often creatively with different materials. There is room for feelings and fears are addressed, but fun and laughter are also included. An extensive vacation program enables the "Tigerherz" children to have wonderful experiences in the group. The "Tigerherz" advisory service is aimed at parents, grandparents, professionals and interested people. All services are free of charge.
