Two hands can save a life
Free lay resuscitation course on April 18 at the Bad Krozingen site
A sudden cardiovascular arrest can happen to anyone at any time. Unfortunately, many people do not know the life-saving measures or hesitate to use them in an emergency. With the support of Benedikt Kreutz e.V. at the Bad Krozingen site, the University Heart Center - University of Freiburg is offering a free resuscitation course for laypersons and first aiders on Thursday, April 18, 2024from 7 pm to 9 pm. The course will take place in the auditorium of the University Heart Center at Südring 15 in Bad Krozingen. Registration is not required.
Simple measures with a big impact
Cardiovascular arrest is one of the most common causes of death in Germany. Starting resuscitation immediately can increase the chances of survival of those affected many times over. However, only around 40 percent of first aiders start with chest compressions. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses help to maintain knowledge and reduce inhibitions. The simple rule of thumb "check, call, press" can help save lives in an emergency.
