One-day warning strike on Monday, June 3, 2024 / Planned appointments at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg reduced / Emergency care ensured
On Monday, June 3, 2024, ver.di has called on the employees of the university hospitals in Baden-Württemberg to go on an all-day warning strike. This also affects the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. As a result, some of the operations and outpatient appointments planned for this day will have to be postponed. An emergency service agreement has been concluded between the union and the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, which guarantees the care of inpatients. It has also been ensured that all emergency medical interventions, intensive care and urgent operations can take place. This applies in particular to care in obstetrics, oncology and pediatrics. The blood donation center is open as usual.
There may be longer waiting times during the strike period. Emergency outpatients should switch to other emergency departments on the day of the strike if possible.
People whose appointments have to be canceled will be actively informed by the specialist departments. The University Hospital asks you to refrain from making inquiries.
