Warning strike on June 13 and 14, 2024 at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg / Acute and emergency care ensured / Planned appointments reduced
On Thursday and Friday, June 13 and 14, 2024, the trade union ver.di has once again called on employees at university hospitals in Baden-Württemberg to take part in all-day warning strikes. The Medical Center - University of Freiburg is also affected. In order to ensure patient care, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg has concluded an emergency service agreement with ver.di. Some of the operations and outpatient appointments planned for this day will have to be postponed. Those affected will be informed by the specialist departments. Inpatient care at weekend level is guaranteed. Urgent medical treatment and operations, intensive care, obstetrics and, for the most part, oncology are fully guaranteed. The blood donation center is open as usual. There may be longer waiting times during the strike period. Emergency outpatients should switch to other emergency departments on the day of the strike if possible.
