Prevention program "Teacher coaching groups based on the Freiburg model" has been helping to maintain health in everyday school life for more than 10 years / Register now free of charge

School teachers continue to be among the occupational groups that are particularly exposed to health risks. Among the scientifically evaluated and proven effective health protection measures for this professional group are the "Teacher Coaching Groups according to the Freiburg Model" developed at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. The prevention program organized by the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Centre for School Quality and Teacher Training and is offered free of charge to all teachers and heads of public schools in Baden-Württemberg.

Effectiveness scientifically proven

The "Teacher Coaching according to the Freiburg Model" particularly strengthens relationship skills within the school, as successful interpersonal relationships have proven to be the most important prerequisite for maintaining health. The coaching groups are led by psychologists and physicians who have previously undergone special facilitation training. The effectiveness of the prevention program has been scientifically proven: The proportion of participants who are severely affected by medically relevant stress symptoms halves over the course of the program. A scientific evaluation was also able to prove the sustainability of the measure and show that a positive effect on health is still detectable after 1.5 and 2.5 years.

Information and registration
