Physical activity is an important part of cancer aftercare. But even during treatment, patients benefit from sport and exercise, which can counteract the side effects of cancer therapy and reduce the risk of relapse. At the 20th anniversary symposium of sports oncology on

"For 20 years, we have been helping cancer patients to maintain their everyday performance and quality of life through exercise. With our symposium, we would like to share our knowledge, present our services and offer an opportunity for exchange," says PD Dr. Christine Greil, Medical Director of the Department of Sports Oncology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
Inform, move and network
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., experts from the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will give lectures on sports and nutrition in cancer and provide insights into the sports oncology services offered at the hospital. There will also be a range of exercise activities to take part in. Self-help groups will also be on site. Admission is free, registration is not required.
The symposium is jointly organized by the Department of Medicine I of the Medical Center of Freiburg and the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF of the Medical Center of Freiburg.
