Pianist Pauliina Tukiainen and cellist Frank-Michael Guthmann will be performing at the Bad Krozingen campus of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg on November 2, 2024

The University Heart Center of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, together with the hospital chaplaincy, invites you to a concert for cello and piano on Saturday, November 2, 6 p.m. at the Bad Krozingen campus (Südring 15). The internationally sought-after cellist Frank-Michael Guthmann and the award-winning pianist Pauliina Tukiainen will perform a varied program that includes works by German composers from the 19th century.

"I am delighted that a concert can take place again in this special atmosphere after a long break. The healing power of music is particularly important here at the University Heart Centre," says AndreasGuthmann, pastor of the Protestant hospital chaplaincy and organizer of the new "Music in the Atrium" series at the Bad Krozingen campus. He has invited top-class guests.

Pauliina Tukiainen, professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, is a sought-after accompanist, winner of international competitions and a regular guest at renowned festivals in Europe. Frank-Michael Guthmann, solo cellist with the SWR Symphony Orchestra and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, has won several international competitions and performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician.

The concert is aimed at all music lovers and patients. Admission is free. Afterwards, a small reception will be held in the chapel/auditorium.
