Yoga for endometriosis
New course at the Women's Health Center at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg starts on November 18, 2024
Endometriosis is the second most common gynecological disease and affects up to 30 percent of all women between puberty and menopause. Tissue that resembles the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. Special yoga and relaxation techniques can alleviate the resulting pain and improve the quality of life of those affected. The Women's Health Center at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is therefore offering a weekly yoga course for those affected from Monday, November 18 from 7.30 pm to 9 pm. Gentle exercises provide lasting relaxation in the abdominal area and promote mobility in the pelvic area, lower back and the whole body.
The course is aimed at women with pelvic complaints, endometriosis, fibroids or painful periods and requires no prior knowledge. The participation fee is 120 euros for eight sessions.
