Laser instead of glasses?
Information event on laser treatment of ametropia at the University Medical Center Freiburg
Almost half of all people in Germany wear glasses or contact lenses. Various visual defects, such as short-sightedness, long-sightedness or astigmatism, can be compensated for with these optical aids.
However, many people would like to do without glasses or contact lenses. Sight defects can be corrected surgically using modern laser procedures. However, laser eye surgery is not recommended for everyone. Who is suitable? Are there alternatives?
Dr. Sonja Heinzelmann-Mink, a laser expert from the Department of Ophthalmology at the Freiburg University Medical Center, will provide information about the operation and answer questions at an event entitled "Lasers instead of glasses?" on Thursday, March 13 at 5 p.m. in the Killianstrasse lecture hall (Killianstrasse 5, between the Eye and ENT Clinic and the Neurocenter). Participation is free of charge.
