Music meets language: poetic piano recital
On July 17, the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Freiburg invites you to a piano concert and reading
The pianists Hyun Sook Noh and Annelie Schwind will perform a concert with literary accompaniment on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Freiburg. The event will take place in the Garden Hall in the West Wing of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Hauptstraße 5 in Freiburg. Admission to the concert is free, registration is not required.
"Literature and music can open up spaces of lightness and reflection - especially in a medical environment. This concert combines both in a wonderfully clever and entertaining way," says Prof. Dr. Dr. Katharina Domschke, Medical Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Freiburg.
Between cheerful and thoughtful
In addition to the "Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns, five "Histoires" by Jacques Ibert will be performed. This is in cooperation with Annette Erhart, therapeutic director of the Lindenhof Specialist Clinic and theater educator, who will speak the famous Loriot text to the "Carnival of the Animals". Together with the musicians, Erhart has selected a text to accompany the "Histoires" that will also make you smile, but also inspire reflection.
