Musical night atmosphere in the Garden Hall

On November 13, the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg invites you to a chamber music concert


On Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m., the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg invites all interested parties to the fifth event of the year in the "Im Gartensaal" cultural series. The chamber music ensemble ARCOIRIS will present vocal and violin duets as well as piano pieces on the theme of night under the title "Night Music". The concert will take place in the Gartensaal of the Gartenflügel West, Hauptstraße 5 in Freiburg. Admission is free, registration is not required.

The three performers - Anna Schote, Katharina Schote and Chen Yifan - are scholarship holders of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation "Live Music Now" Freiburg. The works performed include works by Fauré, Chausson, Brahms, Offenbach, Humperdinck, Mahler and Strauss.

"Evenings like this show how important music can be for our mental health," says Prof. Dr. Dr. Katharina Domschke, Medical Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. "The concerts in the Gartensaal bring people together and create a space for encounters and cultural participation."

Young talents interpret classics of the night

Soprano Anna Schote studies singing at the Freiburg University of Music. She is a sought-after ensemble singer in renowned ensembles such as the Bundesjugendchor, the collegium vocale Stuttgart and the Kammerchor Stuttgart. As a concert singer, she recently performed in the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester.

Katharina Schote studies singing at the Freiburg University of Music. The mezzo-soprano has already sung in many renowned choirs and ensembles, including the Bundesjugendchor, the Kammerchor Stuttgart and the Figure Humaine Kammerchor.

Chen Yifan studies piano and accompaniment at the Freiburg University of Music. Between 2016 and today, he has been invited to over 30 concerts in China and Germany and has extensive concert experience.
