Warning strike at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg
Two-day warning strike on Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16, 2026 / Emergency care guaranteed despite the warning strike
ver.di has called on the staff of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg to participate in a full-day warning strike on Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
An emergency service agreement has been reached between the Medical Center – University of Freiburg and the union to ensure that no patients are harmed. It is also ensured that all emergency medical procedures, intensive care, and urgent surgeries can take place. This also applies to care in obstetrics, oncology, and pediatrics.
Longer wait times may occur during the strike. If scheduled surgeries and outpatient appointments cannot take place, the Medical Center – University of Freiburg will inform the affected patients directly.
On the day of the strike, patients should—if possible—seek care at other emergency rooms.
