Mentally stable despite increasing work stress

On June 11, 2016, there will be a public lecture on the causes, consequences and prevention of stress in the workplace


All surveys of the population in recent years have shown that an increasing number of people feel overworked due to the growing volume of work and ever-increasing deadline pressure in their everyday working lives. This is also reflected in the associated sick leave and early retirement. Prof. Dr. Mathias Berger, Medical Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, explains on

in a public lecture on the topic of "Psychologically stable despite increasing work stress", the complex causes of stress at work and the possible consequences of illness. He will also give tips on how employees can prevent mental illness.

The event is part of the lecture series "Prevention - for a healthy life" organized by the Institute for Prevention and Cancer Epidemiology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
