Vitamin tablets and food supplements - do they do more good or harm?
Patient event as part of the seminar series "Nutrition and Cancer" at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg
A healthy and balanced diet is particularly important for cancer patients: it can improve their quality of life. To provide information on good nutrition during cancer, the Women's Health Center and the Parents' School of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg are organizing the seminar series "Nutrition and Cancer".
Nutritional supplements are available everywhere: in pharmacies, drugstores and supermarkets. Advertising claims that they are important for health. But is that true? Can you prevent or even stop diseases such as cancer with targeted nutritional supplements? Or do these products also carry risks?
Nutritionist Dr. Anna Raynor will answer these and other questions on Tuesday, 4 October 2016. The topic of the evening is "Vitamin tablets and dietary supplements - do they do more good or harm?". The seminar will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Erxleben room of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Please register by e-mail to gesundheitszentrum-frauen@uniklinik-freiburg.de or by telephone on 0761 270-31010 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9 am to 10 am and Wednesday: 12 noon to 1 pm).
Participation in the seminar costs 5 euros.
