(28.01.2025) Helmut Schiffer, Director of Nursing at the University Medical Center Freiburg, receives the award for Nursing Manager of the Year at the "Nursing" congress in Berlin

Helmut Schiffer, Director of Nursing and Board Member of the University Medical Center Freiburg, was honored as Nursing Manager of the Year at the Nursing Management Award 2025. The award, which was established by the German Nursing Management Association, is presented annually together with Springer Pflege as part of the "Pflege" congress and recognizes outstanding leadership qualities and innovative approaches in nursing.

Recognition of leadership and innovation

According to the German Nursing Management Association, Schiffer is being honored above all for his longstanding, formative role in university nursing. His work is characterized by exceptional management competence, interprofessional thinking and the ability to combine conceptual expertise with a high degree of implementation strength. Schiffer's consistent focus on goals and results, particularly in training and further education, as well as in the introduction of academic roles for nurses at the university hospital, were particularly emphasized.
