Family afternoon for children with epilepsy, their relatives and interested parties / Medical presentations, games and craft activities for children and an opportunity to chat

The Epilepsy Center Freiburg, Section for Epilepsy Diagnostics in Children and Adolescents and the Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) of the Department of Neuropediatrics and Muscular Diseases at the University Medical Center Freiburg jointly invite you to the Children's Epilepsy Day on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 3 pm to 6:30 pm at the Seminar and Conference Center of the University Medical Center Freiburg (Elsässer Str. 2m in Freiburg). Admission is free, but registration is requested.

The family afternoon, which is being organized for the first time, is aimed at affected children, their parents and relatives as well as interested parties. Two specialist medical presentations on the opportunities and challenges for children with epilepsy at school and new treatment options will provide an opportunity to ask questions. Curative educators from the SPC will be supervising play, craft and information stands on the topic of epilepsy for the young patients during the presentations. In this way, the children can learn about the disease in a playful yet professionally supervised way. Afterwards, there will be time to chat over coffee and cake.
