A sudden cardiovascular arrest can occur anywhere and at any time. Unfortunately, many people do not know the life-saving measures or hesitate to use them in an emergency. That's why experts from the University of Freiburg - Bad Krozingen Heart Center are training people in simple resuscitation measures to mark International Resuscitation Day on Thursday, October 16, 2025 . In addition to free resuscitation training, laypeople will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a lay defibrillator. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of out-of-hospital cardiovascular arrests and the willingness of the population to provide assistance.
