The "Patients" Business Unit supports departments, clinics and institutes in their administrative tasks and at the same time focuses on patients.

Business Unit 2 is responsible for Central Billing, Patient Service and Document Management.

With more than 200 employees, the Business Unit makes a direct and indirect contribution to patient care - as a reliable point of contact for patients: through information in the hospitals, outpatient or inpatient registration or, following treatment, through inquiries about patient documents.

The local teams also act as a link between departments, clinics and institutes and the central Administration. The Business Unit is also responsible for the billing implementation of budget and care rate agreements, the university outpatient clinic agreement and other contracts, as well as legal obligations.
