Business Unit Human ResourcesThe Human Resources Business Unit provides administrative personnel support for over 14,000 employees of the University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine. Payroll-related activities, such as remuneration and business trip accounting, are carried out by the Payroll department. The Time Management department is responsible for supporting and continuously updating the software applications used at the University Hospital for duty scheduling. It also supports duty planners in planning and monitoring their duty schedules. The development and implementation of new working time models, on the other hand, is the task of the Staff Unit Working Time Management. Employment law issues are clarified by the Staff Unit Labor Law. Staff Unit Human Resources Projects is the central point of contact for managing and implementing the projects of the Human Resources Business Unit. Training, internships and voluntary services are managed by the Staff Unit Training.

Tasks of the department
The Time Management department ensures the availability and continuous updating of the software applications used at the University Medical Center Freiburg for duty scheduling in accordance with the applicable laws, collective agreements and service agreements. We support the duty planners in planning and monitoring their duty schedules. At the same time, we offer training courses on system handling for duty planners and employees and provide hospital management with time management reports from our personnel controlling department.

The Staff Unit Training is the first point of contact for all questions relating to training, internships and voluntary services. We rely on our own talent pool within the Medical Center - University of Freiburg to ensure our future need for skilled workers. Tasks of the staff unit
Company integration management (Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement - BEM) is an offer of support from the employer for employees with long-term or repeated illnesses. It comprises all activities and measures that are suitable for restoring and permanently securing the ability to work and employability in specific individual cases. The Staff Unit Occupational Integration Management acts as the central point of contact for all those involved in the BEM process and coordinates all associated measures.
