Innovative Imaging Techniques
New Possibilities for Medical Imaging
The “Innovative Imaging Techniques” working group is dedicated to advancing modern imaging technologies to enable more precise diagnostics and improved medical care. The focus is on innovative computed tomography techniques, including photon-counting CT (PC-CT), as well as new approaches in magnetic resonance imaging, such as low-field MRI and hyperpolarization imaging.
Further Developing Imaging Technologies
The goal of this research and development work is to develop new and more precise imaging techniques and to explore their potential applications in clinical practice. These various technologies offer the potential for improved visualization of biological structures and processes and are expected to help obtain diagnostic information with greater precision.
From Research to Application
A key component of the working group is the transition of new imaging technologies into practical application and their long-term development until they are ready for the market. In collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, research findings will be translated into technological developments, and their industrial application will be advanced. Workshops and other knowledge-transfer initiatives also support networking with industry partners and the dissemination of new findings and technologies.
