Eva Rog-Zielinska, PhD
Head of 4D Imaging, Emmy Noether Fellow
Research Interests:
- Nano-to-micro scale investigation of the impact of mechanical activity on cardiac T-tubular system
- Mechanisms of mechanosensing
- Properties of myocardial infarction scars
Brief CV:
Eva obtained her Biotechnology Master’s degree from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. She was then awarded a 4-year British Heart Foundation PhD studentship at the University of Edinburgh in 2008, during which time she investigated late gestation development of the heart. Since 2013 she has been working with Professor Peter Kohl at Imperial College London and IEKM at Freiburg. In 2015 Eva has been awarded a 3-year BHF Immediate Post-doctoral Basic Research Fellowship. She maintains close collaborations with University of Colorado Boulder, University of Bristol, and EMBL Heidelberg. Since 2017 she heads the 4D Imaging section at the IEKM in Freiburg, since August 2018 as an Emmy Noether Fellow.
