New course at the Women's Health Center at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg starts on Thursday, January 23, 2020

Qigong is part of traditional Chinese medicine and has been practiced for over 1,000 years. It combines movement, breathing and meditation. Qigong can be practised regardless of age or physical condition, as the exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs. Studies have shown that the side effects of chemotherapy or radiotherapy, such as nausea and exhaustion, can be alleviated by medical Guolin Qigong.

A new Qigong course starts on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Women's Health Center at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. The course takes place on ten dates on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the course room of the Health Center for Women and the Parents' School, HG Room 101 in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hugstetter Str. 55 in Freiburg. It is aimed at all women, but especially women with cancer.

The course is led by a certified instructor for Guolin Qigong. Please register by e-mail to gesundheitszentrum-frauen@uniklinik-freiburg.de or by telephone on 0761 270-31010 (Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9 am to 10 am and Wednesday from 12 pm to 1 pm). The participation fee for ten 90-minute appointments is 110 euros. A subsidy from the health insurance company is possible.
