The University Women's Hospital is the hospital with the highest birth rate in Freiburg

This has never happened before at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg: 1,950 children were born here in 2019 in a total of 1,856 births. Midwives, obstetricians and physicians at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg already counted more than 1,900 newborns in 2018. This record has now been broken again. This makes the Medical Center - University of Freiburg the clinic with the highest birth rate in Freiburg and the only one to record an increase in births.

There are many rooms at the University Women's Hospital that guarantee privacy and intimacy and are also equipped with modern emergency equipment. During the birth, every pregnant woman is cared for by a midwife and physicians, while pediatricians and anaesthetists are available around the clock in the event of complications. On the maternity ward, mother and newborn are treated as a single unit and receive individual care.
