Playful evaluation of the therapy offers

BBBank donates around 5,000 euros for an educational game to "Tigerherz... wenn Eltern Krebs haben", a service offered by the Medical Center - University of Freiburg

Playfully evaluating one's own offer - this is what "Tigerherz... wenn Eltern Krebs haben", a service of the Psychosocial Cancer Counseling at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF of the Medical Center of Freiburg, can now do thanks to a generous donation from BBBank Freiburg. Bianca Czichy, fundraising employee at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF, Dr. Stefanie Pietsch, research assistant at Tigerherz, and Tim Lais, representing the BBBank Freiburg branch, were delighted to receive a symbolic cheque for 4,998 euros at the end of May in the Tigerherz studio.

The money donated will be used to develop a game board. A didactic game, including game materials for children aged eight and over, is being developed in order to gain a more precise understanding of how Tigerherz works from the children's and young people's point of view and provides them with concrete support. This is intended to invite them to reflect on the support provided and express the strategies they have learned.

The donation comes from the funds of Gewinnsparverein e.V. Gewinnsparen is a lottery in which you can participate with five euros per month and win prizes. BBBank members have bought more than 880,000 lottery tickets. BBBank supports projects in the areas of social welfare, education, science, culture and sport nationwide with donations and sponsoring measures amounting to more than 2.5 million euros annually.

The "Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer" program

"Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer" is aimed at families in which one parent has cancer. The aim is to help the whole family by prioritizing the needs of the children in this difficult situation. We work with the children and young people individually or in groups, often creatively with different materials. There is room for feelings and fears are addressed, but fun and laughter are also part of the process. The Tigerherz counseling service is aimed at parents, grandparents, professionals and interested people. All services are free of charge and are financed exclusively by donations.
