Medical Center - University of Freiburg gives away roses for International Women's Day
On Monday, March 8, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg handed out roses for the benefit of the association "Deaf Children Learn to Hear"
To mark International Women's Day on Monday, March 8, 2021, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg gave away 2,000 roses at the start of the morning shift, taking part in a campaign organized by the Inner Wheel Club Freiburg. The proceeds from the campaign will go to the "Deaf children learn to hear" charity.
Every year, International Women's Day serves as a reminder to promote equal opportunities at all levels. This includes issues such as economic independence, work-life balance and a clear "no" to sexism and discrimination, as well as opportunities for advancement and access to education.
Free development and the easiest possible access to education: Enabling this is also one of the goals of the "Deaf children learn to hear" support association. It supports the treatment of deaf children at the Implant Centrum Freiburg, making it easier for them to learn to hear and speak.
"By giving away roses, we want to give our employees a little treat on International Women's Day and encourage them to confidently stand up for their wishes and goals," says Anja Simon, Commercial Director of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
