Equal Opportunities Officer at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg takes up another term of office

The Board of Directors of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg has appointed Angelika Zimmer as Equal Opportunities Officer for a further five years as of August 1, 2021. In her role, Zimmer is involved in application procedures when women are underrepresented in an area or when filling management positions. She also provides support when returning to work after parental leave and is available as a competent contact person when it comes to reconciling work and family life for women and men. The Deputy Equal Opportunities Officer Gabriele Färber was also confirmed in office. From this term of office, Zimmer and Färber will also be dedicated to gender and diversity issues and will be available as contacts for all employees from non-scientific professional fields at the University Hospital on gender equality and diversity issues.

This includes a balanced gender distribution and leadership culture," says Anja Simon, Commercial Director of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. "I am delighted that Angelika Zimmer is driving these goals forward and is once again taking on this important role."
