Children's vaccination center for the region at Messe Freiburg
Initially only COVID vaccinations for children with pre-existing conditions / Appointments can be booked for all children after Christmas
In the coming week, the first children will be vaccinated at the specially set up children's vaccination center in Freiburg. The Medical Center - University of Freiburg and the City of Freiburg, together with the FWTM, have equipped another hall at Messe Freiburg as a vaccination center. This is an additional service alongside the vaccination opportunities offered by pediatricians in private practice. All those involved can rely on the tried-and-tested structures and well-established processes. Initially, only children with pre-existing conditions will be vaccinated in exhibition hall 3. The appointments for this have already been allocated via the pediatricians in private practice.
After Christmas, vaccinations will then be offered to all children between the ages of five and eleven. Appointments can be made online via the University Hospital's booking system from this date:

Around 3,000 children are to be vaccinated at Messe Freiburg by mid-January. The children will be vaccinated in accordance with the current STIKO recommendations. The vaccinations and educational talks will be carried out on site by pediatricians from the Medical Center - University of Freiburg and pediatricians in private practice.
The vaccination center is supervised and coordinated by the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
