Certified center for high blood pressure
The Department of Cardiology and Angiology II at the Bad Krozingen Campus of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg was one of the few clinics in southern Baden to be awarded the title of Hypertension Center
The German Hypertension League and the German Society for Hypertension and Prevention certified the Hypertension Outpatient Clinic in the Department of Cardiology and Angiology II at the Bad Krozingen Campus of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg under the direction of Dr. Elias Noory as a Hypertension Center in February. This makes it one of only two certified centers in southern Baden. The certification is valid for the next three years.
In the case of high blood pressure, known as hypertension, the blood pumped into the blood vessels by the heart exerts too much pressure on the vessel walls. Many millions of people in Europe suffer from this. Increased blood pressure is often not noticeable. Only when it reaches very high levels do symptoms such as dizziness, shortness of breath or inner restlessness become apparent. If the blood pressure is permanently too high and is not treated, it can lead to cardiovascular diseases such as a heart attack, stroke or kidney failure.
