Many new faces at the clinic
Around 200 new trainees and volunteer service participants start at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg on September 1
On Thursday, September 1, 2022, around 200 young people were welcomed as new employees at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg with a welcome event. Over the next few days, the trainees and volunteers will get to know their workplace and the hospital before they start work. Exciting, challenging and varied tasks await them.
At the University Hospital's Academy for Medical Professions, 26 of them are learning the profession of anesthesia technical assistant and 29 are learning the profession of surgical technical assistant. 37 young professionals are starting training in non-nursing areas and will be trained as IT specialists, medical assistants or plant mechanics in the coming years. This year, training as a confectioner can be offered for the first time. The hospital is also looking forward to welcoming around 110 participants for voluntary service. They will be working in patient care, material transport or the blood donation center, among other things.
