Modernized premises for improved patient care / Contact point for around 14,000 patients a year

Bright, spacious and centrally located: On April 24, 2023, the anaesthesia outpatient clinic at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg was officially opened at a new location and in new, redesigned premises. The trained staff in the anesthesia outpatient clinic treat around 14,000 patients from all areas of the hospital every year. The anesthesia outpatient clinic is located on the first floor of the main North Surgical Building.

"The modernized anaesthesia outpatient clinic offers our patientsa pleasant atmosphere and optimized processes. We are delighted that we can continue to offerour patients excellent carein these new rooms," says Prof. Dr. Hartmut Bürkle, Medical Director of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.

The tasks of the physiciansin the anesthesia outpatient clinic include preliminary examinations before a surgical procedure, determining the anesthesia and informing patients about an upcoming anesthesia. Questions about intensive care, emergency and pain medicine are also part of her spectrum.
