Study on the situation of relatives of people with cancer
Test persons wanted
A cancer diagnosis is a drastic life event, not only for those affected but also for relatives, which is associated with stress and new challenges. The group of parents of adults with cancer in particular are often caught between two stools and have to deal with the situation and the stresses that come with it on their own. As part of a research project, the project team led by Prof. Dr. Joachim Weis from the Chair of Self-Help Research at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF of the Medical Center of Freiburg in cooperation with the House of Cancer Self-Help would like to investigate the situation of relatives of people with cancer in more detail. The aim is to develop needs-based support services for relatives. Test subjects are being sought for this.
In the current online survey, relatives are asked what burdens they experience, what new tasks they take on, how the unfamiliar life situation affects their relationship with the patient and other people and what support they need or would like to have
Who can take part?
We are currently particularly looking for parents of adult children with cancer. Participation takes about 30 minutes. For better readability, we recommend completing the online survey on a laptop, tablet or computer.
