Natural therapy option for irritable bowel syndrome
Participants wanted for study
Among gastrointestinal disorders, irritable bowel syndrome is one of the most common diagnoses in Germany and is associated with symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain and bloating. Treatment for the syndrome includes dietary adjustments, drug therapies to alleviate symptoms, stress management and physical activity. Researchers at the Center for Naturopathy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg now want to conduct a study to find out to what extent the regular intake of healing clay can support the therapy and alleviate symptoms such as diarrhea. They are looking for participants.
Course of the study
The duration of the study is 8 to 12 weeks, during which the intake of healing clay is planned. During this period, there will be three to four face-to-face appointments at the study center and two telephone calls.
People between the ages of 18 and 75 with irritable bowel syndrome and corresponding symptoms can take part in the study. Interested parties can take a test online to assess whether they are suitable for the study: https://www.supersaas.de/form/Luvos/LUV-IBS-D_Freib
