Around 400 new trainees, dual students and participants in voluntary services have started at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg / All training places for healthcare professions filled / Largest training company in Germany

On Tuesday, October 1 , around 220 new faces were welcomed to the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. Over the next few days, the trainees, dual students and volunteers will get to know their workplace and the hospital before they start work. Almost 180 other young people started their careers at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg at the beginning of September.

"It's great to see how many young people are choosing a career in healthcare and want to shape their future at our hospital. They are the future of patient care. With them, we will continue to ensure the high level of medical care in the coming years," says Franz-Josef Overhoff, Head of the Academy for Medical Professions at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.

Particularly pleasing: all training places at the Academy for Medical Professions at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg have been filled. More than 100 new nursing care staff will begin their training at the Freiburg and Bad Krozingen sites. In the areas of surgery, anaesthesia, radiology and laboratory, future specialists will acquire sound knowledge in medical-technical professions. The academy also offers comprehensive training for physiotherapists.

From gastronomy and technology to IT - a diverse range of training courses

Other young professionals start an apprenticeship or dual study program in various areas of the clinical environment, such as technology, logistics, service, IT and administration. "Our trainees and students benefit from practical content that is accompanied by in-depth specialist knowledge and a comprehensive range of support services. Together, we ensure that they are well prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the healthcare sector," says Elke Provazi, Head of Staff Unit Training at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. The hospital is also looking forward to the 120 participants in the voluntary service. They will be working in patient care, material transport and the blood donation center, among other areas.
