Joint lecture series from October 20, 2025 on "Planetary Health" by the Institute for Infection Prevention and Hospital Hygiene, the Center for Medicine and Society (ZMG) and the Cluster of Excellence initiative "Future Forests"

Extreme weather conditions and famine: the consequences of the climate crisis not only affect the environment, but also human health. In the lecture series "Planetary Health" organized by the Center for Medicine and Society (ZMG) at the University of Freiburg and the Institute for Infection Prevention and Hospital Hygiene at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, interested parties can find out what solutions can help protect both areas. The lecture series starts on Monday, October 20, 2025 and includes seven lectures on topics such as the restoration of damaged ecosystems and health hazards in agriculture. The venue is the Max Kade Auditorium I, Alte Universität, Bertholdstraße 17 in University of Freiburg. Each event starts at 6 pm. Admission is free, registration is not required.

All lectures will be held in English and are closely related to the topics of the Cluster of Excellence initiative "Future Forests" at the University of Freiburg, which investigates the interactions between environment, society and health in an interdisciplinary manner.
