(05.11.2025) The Medical Center - University of Freiburg is one of the most FOCUS Health-ranking 2026, the University Medical Center Freiburg is once again one of the seven best hospitals in Germany. In more than 25 medical specialties, the hospital received an award as top clinic.

Among other things, medical quality, treatment results, scientific expertise and patient satisfaction were evaluated. For patients, this means reliable guidance and the confidence that they will receive the highest level of care in Freiburg. The results were published in the November issue of FOCUS Gesundheit.

Cutting-edge medicine from cancer treatment to pediatrics

The Medical Center - University of Freiburg scored particularly well in cancer medicine, cardiac medicine, gynecology, ophthalmology, diabetes treatment, thyroid surgery, neurology, pediatrics, orthopedics, internal medicine, psychiatry and psychosomatics. Awards were received for treatments for breast, bowel, lung, skin and prostate cancer, for the care of patients with stroke, Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis, as well as for specialized services in neonatology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and dentistry.

This makes the Medical Center - University of Freiburg one of the clinics with the broadest range of specialties and excellence in Germany - and confirms its leading role in cutting-edge university medicine.
