Advanced training departmentIn order to be able to offer language courses to all employees, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg cooperates with the language schools Berlitz, inlingua and the Carl-Schurz-Haus in Freiburg.
Below you will find a more detailed insight into the language schools and the cooperation offer. When booking a course, please inform the respective language school directly that you are an employee of the University Medical Center.
All language schools(Berlitz, inlingua, Carl-Schurz-Haus) recommend that you take a placement test in advance so that they can advise you according to your language level.
Inlingua is a national and international language school. At the Freiburg location, individual, duo or group courses can be booked for German and English. Individual lessons for other languages are also available on request.
The courses are designed flexibly on request, so that an online format is also possible in addition to a face-to-face offer.
Inlingua is a certified examination center for the German language. This means that you can take exams there and obtain so-called telc certificates (The European Language Certificates), which certify a certain language level.
At inlingua you receive a 10% discount for each course format.
Berlitz is a global language school with over 500 schools in 70 countries. Berlitz offers a large portfolio of different course formats. In addition to traditional one-to-one and group face-to-face training, you can also take advantage of other formats such as

The Carl-Schurz-Haus is a German-American institute that focuses on English courses. Both individual lessons and group courses are offered there. The group courses are divided into different subject areas and courses according to language level.
