CareStar
Recognizing nurses and midwives - We make excellent nursing care visible
Nurses and midwives provide excellent care for patients and their families every day. At the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, we have a tradition of recognizing outstanding nursing care staff and midwives. The "Nursing Star" is intended to recognize and highlight the special achievements of our employees.
The Nursing Star was initiated in 2020 to mark the World Health Organization's (WHO) Year of Nurses and Midwives. Since then, it has been used to recognize excellent professional practice at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg as part of the Magnet4Europe program.
Would you like to nominate someone as a care star?
We would like to invite you to write us your story about a person. What have you experienced? What has a nurse or midwife achieved in a special way that deserves to be recognized? You are very welcome to name names so that our jury can select the right person.
Click here for the nomination form.
Who can suggest new care stars?
Anyone can take part and nominate a person for the award - especially patients and their relatives as well as colleagues and employees from all areas. A committee of employees from the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will select the award-winning nurses and midwives from the submitted testimonials.
