Comprehensive Obesity Center Freiburg - COCF

Objective: The Interdisciplinary Obesity Board is the central decision-making body for complex disease progression.

Procedure: The board meets weekly and is organized similarly to tumor boards.

Recommended for:

• BMI > 50 kg/m²
• BMI > 40 kg/m² with type 2 diabetes
• Severe concomitant or secondary diseases (EOSS 3 and 4)
• Resistance to therapy despite treatment in accordance with guidelines
