Comprehensive Obesity Center Freiburg - COCF

The Comprehensive Obesity Center Freiburg (COCF) at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg combines medical care, research, teaching, and patient participation in the treatment of overweight and obesity and their accompanying and secondary diseases. The interdisciplinary center offers individualized, structured, evidence-based, and patient-centered treatment concepts.

About the COCF

Mission: Obesity is a chronic, multifactorial disease. The COCF aims to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, interdisciplinary care for people who are overweight or obese and suffer from related and secondary diseases on an individual basis.

Structure: The COCF brings together experts from internal medicine, surgery, nutritional medicine, psychosomatics, pediatrics, and other disciplines under a common organizational structure.


 

Management of the COCF

The center is managed by an interdisciplinary Board of Directors and supported by an operational management team.
