Welcome to the Teaching Coordination Surgery!

As the teaching coordination team, we pursue the goal of continuously improving teaching in the Department of Surgery. To this end, we are guided by the latest scientific findings on analog, digital and practical knowledge transfer in a medical context. Driven by our striving for innovation and further development, our aim is to make teaching inside and outside the lecture hall as attractive as possible for lecturers and students.
Our tasks

Further development of teaching
We strive to continuously develop teaching in all its aspects. We base this on the latest scientific findings in the field of didactics, student evaluation results, feedback from lecturers and future professional requirements for you as future doctors. In the course of advancing digitalization, we are expanding or substituting analogue courses with digital ones, provided that this can create recognizable added value for students and lecturers.
Organization and coordination
Administrative and organizational work is an important area of responsibility for the teaching coordinator. This includes the organization of the block internship, the written and practical examinations and, later in the course of studies, the practical year (PJ).

Support from teachers
We see supporting those responsible for teaching within the department as a core task. We support teaching staff in adapting and improving existing courses and developing innovative courses and accompany them from the first "Eureka!" moment to the final implementation.
Support from students
We are the point of contact for organizational and administrative issues. In addition, we are constantly working to improve the learning experience for students.

Evaluation of courses
The evaluation of courses is an essential component in the continuous improvement of teaching. Based on structured feedback from lecturers and students, we strive to adapt various aspects of knowledge transfer in a targeted manner.
