Palliative care
Advanced trainingPeople with an incurable, progressive disease and a limited life expectancy experience stressful and threatening situations. Together with their families and loved ones, they are under great strain. Palliative care aims to maintain and improve the quality of life for these people, particularly in the last phase of life, for as long as possible. The holistic approach of palliative care is implemented in a multi-professional, interdisciplinary team.
Nursing care professionals take on complex tasks and the situations require them to adopt a differentiated approach with in-depth professional, methodological, social and personal skills. Advanced training in palliative care promotes the development of these relevant core competencies.
