Effective pain management is an important part of healthcare and helps to improve the quality of life of patients with acute or chronic pain.

The advanced training course "Special pain care" aims to provide you with comprehensive training in pain management. The content is based on the latest scientific findings, such as the national expert standard "Pain management in nursing care" (DNQP, 2020), the curriculum for nursing pain management of the German Pain Society (2021) and current guidelines.

You will acquire practical, effective knowledge that you can apply directly in your day-to-day work. You will also be able to implement various pain management concepts sustainably. The advanced training comprises 128 teaching hours and is offered in a blended learning format that combines face-to-face teaching with self-study.

The content is taught in a competence-oriented and case-based manner at DQR level 5, and the advanced training concludes with a colloquium. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate with the additional designation "Special Pain Care" from the German Pain Society.
