Participants are enabled to provide comprehensive nursing care to a person suffering from a psychiatric illness, taking into account their psychological, mental and physical needs. Patient-oriented, planned nursing care is taught in the application of the nursing process. The focus of the nursing staff is on health, health maintenance, health promotion and coping with illness.

Maintaining and developing the quality of psychiatric nursing care, and thus the work in inpatient, day-care and complementary areas, are the concerns of the "Advanced training in nursing care in psychiatry".
