In our daily practice, we experience the strengths and weaknesses of the healthcare system firsthand. We often wish we could change things, but wonder how. That is why, through health services and clinical research, we examine the healthcare system under real-world conditions—particularly with regard to quality, effectiveness, and patient-centered care. In capacity-building projects, we focus on integrating research and practice, as well as on innovative support for the next generation of rural physicians. Furthermore, supporting aspiring physicians is always at the heart of our teaching and research.

We are also a partner in the international Cochrane Network, which provides the scientific basis for decisions in healthcare. Cochrane Germany
