Employees for the reprocessing of medical devices
1.Duration of the course: 120 teaching units (45 minutes each)
2. Admission requirements for participation in the specialist training course I
2.1. Proof of practical activity over a minimum period of 150 hours of 60 minutes each in an AEMP based on the FK I-A activity catalog of the DGSV®. The activity catalog can be found on the DGSV website
3.Recommendations for participation in the specialist training course I
3.2. Understand, read and speak the course language
3.3. At least a secondary school leaving certificate or comparable school or vocational training
4.Admission requirements for the examination
4.1. Proof of regular participation in theoretical lessons
4.2. Absences of no more than 10%; in the event of longer absences, the missed lessons must be made up before the examination
4.3. Proof of practical activity over a minimum period of 80 hours of 60 minutes each based on the FK I-B activity catalog of the DGSV between two blocks of theoretical lessons

Completion
The course concludes with a written, a practical and an oral examination.
After successfully completing the specialist knowledge course I, participants receive a DGSV/SGSV certificate and a certificate from the training center. The Academy for Medical Professions is a recognized training center of the DGSV.
Target group
Employees with extended tasks and responsibility for the reprocessing of medical devices
1. duration of the course: 120 teaching units (45 minutes each)
2. admission requirements for participation in the specialist knowledge course II:
2.1 Certificate of specialist knowledge I from an educational institution recognized by the DGSV®
2.2 Practical work in an AEMP for at least 6 months
3 Admission requirements for the examination
3.1 Proof of regular attendance of theoretical lessons
3.2 Absences of no more than 10%; in the event of longer absences, the missed lessons must be made up before the examination
3.3 Practical assignment between the teaching blocks with report preparation. The report is part of the admission to the examination for the specialist knowledge course II.
3.4 Work shadowing in interface areas of a reprocessing unit:
- A total of 2 days in the technical service (medical technology/operating technology)/hygiene
- A total of 4 days in the OR department and anesthesia
- A total of 2 days in the endoscopy and/or nursing area
Short reports must be prepared on these work shadowing sessions. Please use the following forms, which can be found on the DGSV website, to provide evidence of the work shadowing and to prepare the reports:
- Proof of work shadowing in the OR and anesthesia
- Proof of work shadowing in the endoscopy and/or ward area
- Proof of work shadowing in the technical service and/or hygiene

Completion
The qualification program concludes with a written and an oral examination on practical content. The oral examination focuses on organizational activities such as the creation of work instructions and other aspects of organizational activities in reprocessing units, e.g. the design of duty rosters or the instruction and assessment of new employees.
Upon successful completion of the Specialist Course II, participants receive a certificate from the training center and a DGSV/SGSV certificate. The Academy for Medical Professions is a recognized training center of the DGSV.
Target group
Employees for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in healthcare facilities who have successfully completed a specialist training course I or a specialist training course for the reprocessing of medical devices in the medical and dental sector.
1. course duration: 24 teaching units (45 minutes each)
Supplementary module "Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes" for the supplementary acquisition of knowledge for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes.
2. admission requirements for participation
2.1 Certificate of specialist knowledge I from an educational institution recognized by the DGSV®/SGSV or
Certificate of specialist knowledge course A/ZA from an educational institution recognized by the DGSV®/SGSV
2.2 Proof of activities in an AEMP for flexible endoscopes or proof of work shadowing in endoscopy
3. admission requirements for the examination
3.1. proof of regular participation in theoretical lessons
3.2. absences of a maximum of 10 %, in the event of longer absences, the missed lessons must be made up before the examination
