Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCFThe Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF is part of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg. We see ourselves as a coordination center for all oncology-related activities at the medical center. The German Cancer Aid has certified the Tumor Center Freiburg - CCCF as one of the 15 German Oncological Top Centers and supports us with funding.
Cancer patients come to us for treatment via central outpatient departments. Decisions are made on their individual therapy by interdisciplinary tumor conferences including doctors from all participating disciplines. All treatments are accompanied and monitored by our quality management system.
The Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF cooperates closely with national and international tumor centers as well as with hospitals and doctors in the region. We foster cancer research by providing foundational resources, such as biobanks or the Freiburg Cancer Registry. In clinical trials, our patients have the opportunity to receive promising new medicines that are not yet available to the general public.
In all of these activities, we never lose sight of the needs of our patients. A wide range of supplementary services are designed to cater to their well-being, including psycho-oncological care, social counseling, and home care. Most services are free of charge and are funded primarily by donations.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF coordinates the interdisciplinary treatment of patients with cancerous diseases at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg.
We want our patients to receive the best possible diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare. We respect individual needs and the dignity of every one of our patients. At the same time, we work at the highest level and according to the latest standards of international science.
The therapies offered at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF are conducted in accordance with binding treatment methods.
They are agreed upon by doctors from various areas of specialization in joint conferences (tumor boards) and are continually refined to reflect the latest scientific findings. The treatment of each and every patient is discussed in a team.
Treatment by our teams of doctors at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF is complemented by care from qualified nurses. A wide range of additional services, such as psycho-oncology, social counseling, prevention, dietary counseling, naturopathy, sports oncology, pastoral care, home care, and palliative care are part of our comprehensive treatment concept, which also considers the patient as a human being with needs and wants.
We can make recent findings from fundamental research at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF directly available to our patients by request in strictly controlled trials.
As a tumor center for the entire South Baden region, we are the main point of contact for medical practices and hospitals in the region and cooperate with self-help organizations.
We are engaged in training and offer specialists as well as our employees a wide range of high-quality continuing education and further training courses.
