Arrival using public transportation

By railroad (Deutsche Bahn):
There’s an hourly southbound direct IC/ICE connection from Hamburg/Frankfurt/Berlin to Freiburg main station. From here it’s a ten minute walk to the University Hospital. Alternatively you can use public transportation from Freiburg main train station to the hospital (for more information see below). If you’re travelling from the Kaiserstuhl region, use the University Hospital (Universitätsklinikum) train stop.

By plane:
There’s a direct one-hour bus connection to Freiburg from the EuroAirport in Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. Alternatively Freiburg can be reached in 2 to 3 hours by train or car from Zürich, Strasbourg, Stuttgart or Frankfurt airport.

By tram:
Take tram line no. 4 in the direction of “Messe” when coming from the city center or the main train station and get off at the Killianstraße stop.
