Successful 2nd ProteoCure Training School at the Institute of Clinical Pathology

From September 15 to 19, 2025, the second ProteoCure Training School on “Basics and perspectives of mass spectrometry-based proteomics” took place at the Institute of Clinical Pathology. The event was a great success and attracted participants from a total of 18 countries, including guests from all over Europe, the USA, South Korea, and Australia.

The training focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of proteomics experiments. Participants were guided through the basics of experimental design, the intricacies of sample preparation, and the technical aspects of mass spectrometry measurements. Special emphasis was placed on data analysis, the backbone of any proteomics experiment. Given the enormous amounts of data involved, it is essential to master the intricacies of data interpretation and understand the basics of biostatistics. The aim was to convey this complex process in an intuitive and comprehensive manner.

A practical component also allowed participants to work directly with sample preparation and data analysis, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge immediately.

The training school is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Dr. Ulrich auf dem Keller (1974-2023), a visionary supporter of ProteoCure and passionate academic teacher.

Thank you very much for the Participation!
